Finishing options.

Sew the two panels together as preferred.

Options:

Decrative whip stitch

Single crochet the two panels together

Use an attatched I-cord to attatch the panels (sample shown done in this technique)

You will need 2 size 3 DPN's

for top of bag (only one stitch picked up):
using size 3 DPN's cast on 3 stitches.
Knit 2 stitches, k2tog (one stitch from the DPN and a picked up stitch from the edge of the panel).
WITHOUT TURNING, knit the first stitch on the DPN, K1, K2tog
(again, the last stitch from the DPN and one picked up stitch)
Repeat across top of panel.
Bind off.
Repeat for second panel

To seam using attatched I cord:
With wrong sides together, pin the panels together
Cast on 3 stitches
K2, K3tog (one stitch from the DPN, one stitch from the first panel,
and one stitch from the second panel
WITHOUT TURNING, knit the first stitch on the DPN, K1, K3tog
(again one stitch from DPN and one from each panel)
Continue down one side.
When you reach the corner, work 3 rounds of I cord
without picking up any stitches from the panels,
Then continue attatched I cord on bottom of bag,
repeating the 3 unattatched I cord at the corner,
working up the final side until
bag is all sewn up.
Continue working 3 stitches of I cord for strap.
Work I cord until desired length of strap, graft close.
