Beautiful Fall

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting a pretty fall this year. We had a really dry hot summer. This usually means the fall is short and not very pretty. However, because the warm weather stayed around for a bit and then lot's of rain in October... it's turned into a beautiful fall:

Speaking of beautiful...



So did that distract everyone from the lack of knitting content? Well, I didn't get my goal done yesterday. Instead of 3 repeats on the afghan block, I got about 3 rows. My excuse is that I had a birthday dinner for my friend Betty so I spent most of the day in the kitchen (okay, okay, any down time was spent playing Sly Cooper...).

So I'll focus today and shoot for 6" completed on the current afghan block. I still want it finished by the end of the week (very do-able, I might say).

Betty asked me last night what I planned on doing with the afghan when it's done... well, start the next one, of course!!! I'll need to get back to work on the crochet sampler too.
