General Information

How To Join: Just leave a message on the tagboard. You do not need to have a blog to join. I will be adding a photo album option so we can upload our pictures. Start Date: 3/15/05 Pattern Information: The size given in the pattern is for a 42" or a 48" finished size. However, this is a modular pattern and any size can be made with any gauge yarn, as it's the size of the diamond that determines the finished size. Yardage given in the pattern is 800-700 yds at either a 5 sts to the inch (42" finished size) or 4 sts to the inch (48" finished size). Tips and Links

I have made this pattern once and here's some things that I learned. First: don't forget that this is basically a bias sweater, so you want something that drapes, but not too much (a high rayon content, for example) or you will end up with a sweater that grows on you (especially in length). Also, you may want to consider a close fit. I made my first one with a 4" ease and it was unwearable. I'm making this one with only a 1" amount of ease. It's best to make 3 diamonds (2, then pick up a diamond between) to get an accurate measurement for the size of your diamonds. The other diamonds will pull open your diamond and they will grow on you.
