My Hero
You know it's gonna be a long day when a skunk is killed right in front of your house. The smell was bad enough that it woke me up at 3:00am and I wasn't able to really fall asleep. However, I am married to a real man.

What a man.

Luckily, it's garbage day. Hopefully the stench will clear out as the day goes on.
What else is on the menu today, apart from skunk road kill clean up? Well, I'm off to the grocery store to get my supplies for Thursday. Then tonight we're off to a charity dinner to meet Floyd Landis. (okay, that's an older photo, as he now rides for Phonak, but ya gotta love the wheelie on the Champs Elysees... you can see his official site here). So plenty to do today (note to self: Do Not Forget The Camera)
I did very well on my goals yesterday. Got one swatch done for the Basics, Basics, Basics, worked on the Cable O's Vest and not only did I finish the third triangle on the Skygge Jakke, I started the 4th.
I'm not going to set any goals for today. I'll work on what I can, when I can. I may avoid the house for a bit today, too. (did I mention it smells like someone hit a skunk right in front of our house?) Maybe get a head start on my holiday shopping?
Well, off to shower and get out of here...did I mention it smells a bit?

Hugs hugs
peee-yew! That is a loving husband, you've got there!
That's one way to clear your sinuses! You are doing so well with your goals, and the 'production schedule' you've set up sounds good. Have fun at the dinner!
Oh My! What a strong person Matt is! I've been in a car as it ran over a skunk. (It was either hit the skunk, go down a cliff, or hit a rock wall. UGH! Fortunately my friend driving saw it coming and turned off the heater. That smell sticks in your nose long after it's gone.....
Hi Cindy,
Now I'm a bit odd as I actually don't mind skunk smell and find it to be sweet and pungent. and quite tolerable! Hubby thinks I'm nuts and can't stand it as most people can't.
Carissa: sadly I didn't go yarn shopping... which is probably just as well. I would've had to cast something on!
Kate: I think Matt is the hero of the neighborhood. (however, it's still pretty stinky out there!)
Kristen: I do think having some kind of schedule is beneficial. It's also nice that it is flexible and if I really don't feel like doing something I can change it up. Hmmm, maybe I'll get some things actully finished in 2006?
Tori: The smell definitely sticks. It's still pretty stinky out there and our mail from yesterday had a nasty odor (it was killed right in front of our mailbox). It's gonna take a few days for it to settle down!
Dawn: ya, that is a bit odd. lol. However, I'm just the opposite, I find any strong odor bothers me after a while. Even "pleasant" odors, like bread baking. Any strong smell gives me a headache.
