No Progress
I got my 2" done on the afghan block yesterday, but I ended up frogging them. The yarn had two bright red spots that I didn't think would wash out. So yesterday's work was more or less lost.
On top of that, I had a dentist appointment to try to fix a filling that she had replaced in September. My mouth and jaw were very sore (and it's still sore this morning). However, I do think the bite is better, but we'll see once all the swelling and bruising goes down how it feels.
So my goal for today is to actually finish the afghan square (it can be done) then choose the last block and cast it on.
I've decided my next sampler afghan (knitted) will be Joan's Country Sampler. Now I just have to decide what yarn to use. I think I'm going to do it in a solid color instead of different colored squares? Not sure yet. I'll play around with my stash.

Yea!! I've gotten so many requests for that pattern that I'm writing it up into a proper pattern with color picture. I'm doing another one right now in odds and ends of Encore but in a sequence. A solid would be great but I didn't have enough of one color without buying yarn and that's a no no right now. Next up for me afghan-wise is my version of the Leisure Arts pattern to which I've added garter stitch borders and done in strips. I picked all patterns with a count of between 53 and 56 sts so the edges will sew up evenly.
well, I'm hoping I have enough yarn with out buying more :D If not, I have some Berella 4 in 5 different colors that would work well (greans and tans). Hmmm... that might actually look nice!
