Just a quicky as I have a hectic day ahead of me. I only have to feed 3 of us for Thanksgiving this year, but I still want us to have nice dinner. So I'm off to get a few last minute things at the store and I'll start some of my cooking today. I also have a quick eye doctors appointment (just to make sure my contacts are still fitting well... and they feel great).

I got my jeans from LL Bean and they don't fit right. Sigh. I'm going to try the classic fit in the same size and the relaxed fit in one size smaller just to see which fits me better. So I'm wearing my favorite jeans from 1991 (they even have pleats in the front and the legs are tapered!) not stylish, but they fit me.

I have one of the saddles done on the Shawl Collared Aran and I've started the second. I did work a few rows on the Cables 101 vest.

Well, I'm off. I hope all those in the States celebrating Thanksgiving have a safe and happy holiday!

This just may be the perfect sweater design (for me at least). It's in a DK weight, so it's not real bulky, it uses one of my favorite cables (I love "woven" cables) and it just looks fabulous! Yes, I've already swatched it and yes, I've even started the first saddle (the swatch was in moss stitch, so I thought I would start the saddle to see if I liked my yarn in the cables.. right?)

I'm going to host this as a KAL if anyone else MUST make this. I'm going to have an official start day in January so everyone can concentrate on their holiday knitting and I can finish the
Cables 101 Vest (I'm trying to finish one KAL before I start the next).

I will say that I'll probably make everything in this issue of
Twists & Turns (one of the rejected yarns fro the Shawl Collared Aran will be perfect for the Sailor's Ribs & Ropes Cardigan... another perfect design). All I can say is I'm glad this newsletter is only published quarterly. I can't keep up as it is!

Off to work on my Cables 101 Vest so I can get to the Shawl Collared Aran faster....

A quick post as I didn't make it to the store on Friday, so I MUST go today. It also means I don't have any pictures today (maybe tomorrow?)

Hmmmm, what did I do this weekend? Well, most importantly, I finished
Halo 2 on "normal" so I'll start thru "heroic" next. I expect to die a lot. I also played an online mutliplayer game and got my butt seriously kicked. Need to hone my skills before I do that again.

Matt and I started a renovation project. We spent Saturday morning purging a lot of krap out of our mud room and he started prepping it for painting. He's going to do build ins for storage. I think it's going to be nice (but it's amazing how much krap we've stored away... it makes me shrudder when I think of the other purging we need to do...)

As for knitting? Well, I worked mostly on the
Cables 101 Vest. I have 4 or 5 repeats done which is about halfway to the neck shaping. (I think... I'll have to check, but I think it's about 8 repeats). I'm thinking that I "could" finish it by the end of the month, but more realistically  will have it finished in early December. I also did a little crochet on some charity afghans. I have 3 that I would like to drop off before Christmas.

Well, I believe that's about it. Off to the icky grocery store on a Monday morning (so they won't be restocked from the weekend). I'll try to have something more interesting (ie: pictures) tomorrow.
