My knitting is definitely suffering. I did weave the ends in on a few scarves and finished up a Fun Fur scarf yesterday, but that's it. I'm hoping that by Sunday most of my busy schedule will be done and I can get back to my favorite knitting.
I did get the page set up for the Cozy Shawl Collared Aran yesterday, so if you would like to join in on the KAL, just sign up on the tagboard! It's really making me itch to get back to some cable knitting. I miss working on my Cables 101 Vest (and I still would like to get that one done before I go any further on the Cozy Shawl Aran), plus I'm been thinking about the Spring Forward again (even tho' I have a mistake that I need to fix. I should just fix it so it's ready for me again...). Just so many projects. Do you think I can convince Janet Szabo to use Knitter's magazine as an example of her next newsletter so I'm not tempted to start any new projects??? No, probably not. I think it would be hard for a good designer to design something fugly. Oh well, just means I need to get more focused. (noticed that I didn't even bother linking to Knitters?)
In personal news: I found jeans that fit!!!! Well, as close as I'll ever be able (they still gap a little at the back of the waist, but not so bad that I can't use a belt to cinch it in). LL Bean's classic fit petite's fit me almost perfectly! Yeah! (and Nicole: they have a natural waist and a 28" inseam). The relaxed fit were like 3 sizes too large, but the classic fit me the way a pair of jeans should. I can't believe how happy finding a pair of jeans to fit made me (it is the little things in life, isn't it?)

Not that I have much to post about. I'm still doing frou-frou scarves (looks like I'll have about 6 or 7 by Saturday) and finishing up my Christmas shopping. I am basically done. All that's left is a few things for Matt. I've been also wrapping as they come (but just like seaming, I'm a freak and rather enjoy wrapping gifts). I already wrapped the gift I made and forgot to get a picture of it. All the more reason to make myself one, right.
That's about all for now. Next week should be a little more exciting (maybe even with pictures! I'm feeling really lazy with the camera this week). Hmmm, how 'bout a recycled pet picture? Would that perk ya up?

So I'll do a little holiday shopping today (and I also need a house warming gift. Any suggestions?) which should basically finish up what I need to get. I just have to wait for the mail order stuff to arrive to wrap and then mail the package to my inlaws. This is the hectic week, then my holiday should be nice and relaxing, as I'm pretty much done with shopping. I still would love to get a few of Matt's projects done for under the tree.
I think I will take January and do "inventory" of projects and yarn and get a little better organized. Maybe unload some of my stash that I know I'll never use (hey, never say never, right?) Well, one (or 50) things at a time... now I've got to concentrate on the tasks at hand.
I also like to get my inlaws gifts mailed out this week (avoiding the rush) so I'm trying to collect/order their gifts this week as well. I also need wrapping paper! How did that happen? (I'm a wrapping paper hoarder: I buy in bulk on sale, but I haven't bought paper in 3 years, maybe?)
On top of that Matt and I gutted and repainted the mud room over the Thanksgiving weekend. It's not done yet, as Matt's still installing the new vinyl tile flooring, but it's moving along well. Painting does cut into my knitting time.
So, basically, not a lot of knitting done over the last couple of days. I still have hopes of finishing up Matt's vest before Christmas and maybe his scarf. This week will be the bulk of the "other" Christmas gifts then I can concentrate on Matt.
So not a very exciting blog entry, eh? I'm not sure it's going to get any more exciting over the next couple of days. Things are just hectic here as we deal with a bunch of different things going on in our lives. You know, those piddley little things like cars to be inspected, winterizing the house, decorating for the holidays, doctor's appointments and such. It always seems that December is full of things to finish up before the end of the year that just keep you busy on top of the holiday stuff.
Well, I'm off to make a list of things to take care of. If I get them done quickly, maybe I can spend the afternoon knitting?
