Cozy Shawl Collared Aran
WARNING: Actual knitting content ahead.

So I've been restless with my knitting and just couldn't seem to focus on any projects at hand. I've even been looking at something "new" when I realized that I should just work on the project I
want to work on (not what I should be working on). So what do I want to work on? Well, the Shawl Collared Aran Pullover:
Current WIPs
Pattern: Cables 101 Vest
Source: Twists & Turns
Yarn: Cascade 220
Color: Dark Green Heather
Needles: 5''s & 7's
Gauge: 20sts x 28 rows to 4" in st st
Ain't it puirty? I have about 16 rows done on the back. I have to track the pattern so I know when to start working the cables again on chart B. Easy enough to do and some really pretty cables.

I know I should be working on some of my older projects, but I just couldn't seem to focus. It was just delightful to be able to work on this. I'll try to get a few more rows done on the
Cables 101 Vest. I still love working on it, but I just couldn't focus. Now that I've worked a few rows of the Shawl Collar Aran, I think I'll be able to get back to it today.

My packages are being mailed out today. All my gifts are either finished or ordered (or here and wrapped). The house is as decorated as I'm going to do this year. Basically, I'm done with the stressful part of the holidays. I do miss baking cookies, tho'!

Just a little distraction so hopefully no one will notice the complete lack of knitting content.

Let me say that I like being a professional recluse. I'm not a big fan of going out and being social. However, this time of year, I feel like I'm constantly running errands (something that I normally only do once a week). I've got more things to take care of today. I am almost done with all my obligations (let's hope).

Anyway, holiday preperations are well under way. We went to my BIL's on Friday and had dinner and decorated his tree (well, they decorated, I sat on the couch and watched). Here are the proud decorators and their accomplisment:
Well, it was a good warm up, as Matt and I did our tree on Sunday. I didn't really do much more than the tree this year. I'm going to put some of the gifts under the tree that are wrapped so it doesn't look as naked. I love having my tree up.

We also had our gift exchange with my sister's family on Saturday so I'm definitely feeling like it's Christmas! My sister's kids made us some really great gifts. A beautiful tree ornament and holiday pin. We got the kids a GameCube which kept them busy while the adults got to visit.

So again, not much knitting being done this weekend. I did work several rows on the Cables 101 Vest (getting a lot closer to the Vneck shaping on the right front). I'll see if I can get to that today (tho' I'm not optimistic as I do have some errands to run). I guess I should go shower and get my day started.
