My list for the September Challenge has had to change a bit. I stopped working on the baby blanket. The blanket was to go to our vet and I had planned on it being done before Jake went to get his nails cut. Ran out of time as Jake just couldn't wait any longer. It's a good thing I did wait... I would have to do 3 more blankets for her. Yep, she delivered quadruples. I'm sure she's heard all the jokes about a "litter". All the babies are fine and 3 of them are in regular cribs now (they're also over 3 lbs). The 4th is still a little under weight and in an incubator, but getting stronger every day.
So instead of doing 4 blankets, I'm making 4 quick sweaters. They're all girls, which makes it very easy.
So back to my company and my knitting (I will say the blankets were easier to do while visiting).

I could probably throw in the Sampler Pullover, as it's moving along well, but I really need to focus on the things listed above. Those have to be priority.

Well, I tried to get some pictures this morning of some of the things I've been working on, but they aren't great. First here's the second attempt at Scoop (better gauge this time. let's hope)
Next up: The Sampler Pullover (a Sarah James pattern). The colors are way off, of course, but oh, it's such a fun and easy pattern. Great for someone like me who gets bored doing the same stitch all the time. The back is almost done, just the last divider and then the last section (which I'm changing from seed st to moss stitch). Perfect breakfast knitting (ie: can be knit on pre-coffee)
Well, I've got a game to finish up today, a trip to the grocery store planned and a trip to the dentist. Busy busy busy (oh! and I need a to do a quick baby gift for one of our vets before we take Jake in to have his nails done... trust me, she deserves many baby gifts for doing Jake's nails...)

Pattern: Town Square Jacket by Melissa Leapman

Yarn: acrylic/Gena blend... okay, all my yarn is a Gena blend. It's actually in TLC Heathers
Color: Teal
Notes: Overall, this project went fairly smoothly. I did make a counting error on the left front and had to re knit it. The sleeves take a really really long time (and I shortened them probably 2"...but I'm short). The only change (other than the shortening of the sleeves) was I also made the collar a half inch shorter than the directions.
Overall impression: a great, simple, fast, yet interesting project to knit up. The sleeves are a bit tedious and if I were to knit it again, I would do them first.
So while I had the camera out, some other pics were taken of recently finished projects.
Well, that's the August Challenge tidied up. On to the September Challenge... right now that looks like it's going to be the Cropped Cardigan Redux and the Cable O's Vest... oh and two Sampler Afghan sqaures.
