The Leisure Arts Sampler Afghan

Yep, it's finished. I ran it thru the washer and dryer, but will probably do a wet block on it. The washer and dryer really softened it up, but I still want the blocks to lay flatter.

The picture isn't great. It's hard for me to get a good overall picture and that was taken before I ran it thru the washer and dryer.

So because of the weird Thanksgiving weekend, I really didn't work on things I should've worked on. I spent some time with Marnie and I started a dog sweater for the Mason County Animal Shelter. I hope to have it done tomorrow so I can mail it out.

I've got to run for grocercies today (yuck) and instead of my normal Monday schedule, I'll concentrate on the dog sweater for Mason County. I'm using a pattern from Dogs in Knits. The Soft Basketweave Cardigan is a fun quick knit. I'm using my favorite acrylic yarn: TLC's Heathers. (remember this is a shelter, they need easy to wash items. Handwashed items not a great idea). I'm just about to split for the leg openings. If you have any dog sweaters or blankets that they could use to keep the animals warm, you can mail them here. Even though only one cat survived the fire, they will still be needing cat things, as more will be coming to the shelter.

So I hope everyone has a great Monday!!! (oh, and don't forget it's only 27 knitting days until Christmas!)

I love the new afghan!

I wish I had the time and the pattern to knit a dog sweater, but at the rate I'm finishing projects around here... It's a good thing that you're a fast and caring knitter!
