Sigh, I feel like a broken record. I'm working on the same projects. Here's an update:

Cross Over Top
: the back is done, the right front is done and I'm increasing the "lapel" of the left front.

Diamond Patch Sweater: 8 diamonds done, with the 9th picked up.

Body Hugger Raglan: I'm back to the raglan decreases on the front (or back). However, I'm worried about having enough yarn. I may be looking at doing 3/4 sleeves.

Cozy Shawl Collared Aran: still have a little more than 2 repeats to go (gee that doesn't sound like a lot when it's put that way...)

Spring Forward Cardigan: restarted in a different yarn (still pink, tho'). Saddles done, started to pick up stitches for the back. The cotton acrylic blend that I'm using is much easier to work the cables than the Sierra. I loved the swatch on the Sierra, as it was nice and dense (which I like for cable work), but it made for tough knitting. So the Sierra will be turned into something else... any suggestions?

Thanks for all the nice comments about the new look, the baby sweater and the cute dog pictures... now that I'm done playing on the computer, maybe I'll get some more knitting done! I've got all day to knit and watch college basketball...

The new look is a temporary look. I just wanted to do something a bit different after seeing Jackie and Lauren's great new looks. I can't use templates well with my site (I don't use a blogging program... yet), and I can't code HTML with the program that I'm using. So I'm not sure how it looks on other's machines. Let me know if there are any weird issues. I still can't seem to break from blue...

Anyway, the knitting continues... Here's a picture of the finished baby sweater before we gave it to the parents:

I had a lovely thank you note within two day.

In case you are wondering, our ground is thawed. The temperture has been above freezing and the sun has been bright and shiney. Gena is in full spring fever:
I think she needs a pair of garden clogs? I'm going to see if I can clean up the couch today. It's a cheap...say, free, couch from Ikea, and that's a slipcover, so I'm not overly worried about it. However, Gena thought she should put on her sweet face, as she knew I wasn't happy.
It's hard to stay mad at such a sweet face.... and she knows it.

This is just an other quick post, as I'm still playing around with some things (and Matt's working on a blogging program for me to make this a bit easier...

So here's a project update:

Cross Over Top: the right front is done and I'm about 1" up the left front

Diamond Patch Sweater: I'm working the 8th diamond

Body Hugger Raglan: well, I was on the raglan shaping, then read the intro to the pattern. Basically the yarn used in the pattern (the Koigu Kersti) pulls down, so she included that in the pattern. Since I'm using a cotton/acrylic blend, mine's not going to stretch down (trust me, I spent some time tugging on my sweater), so I pulled back to add 2" to the length.

Cozy Shawl Collared Aran Pullover
: yep, I'm back to work on this one. I have 2.5 repeats to go on the back before ribbing.

The
Marilyn KAL is supposed to start today, but I'm putting mine on hold for a bit. I at least want the Shawl Collared Pullover done before I start it.

One other bit of information: I've decided to use a different yarn for the
Spring Forward Cardigan. I think part of my mental block of restarting it was the Sierra. Now, don't get me wrong: I love the yarn, I love the pattern and I love the color I chose. However, knitting the pattern with the yarn just wasn't fun. So I did a little stash digging and found more of my favorite cotton/acrylic yarn in a nice pink. Swatched it up and it's much much easier to work the cables with it. So I can officially say the Spring Forward Cardigan has been restarted.

We're having a frogging party at Stitch n Bitch tonight. Basically, we're going to support
Kate's frogging of her purple sweater, but I've got loads of projects that need to be frogged... this may be what I take (no longer fits and I would like to re do it).

Have a good Tuesday!
