I don't have the front done on the Shapely Tank, so no picture. It took a lot of short rows for the bust shaping (and I should say I got tired of doing them, so I didn't even do as many as I was supposed to... I went a cup size short. Seemed like a lot of short rows). We'll see how it goes. It's really hard to see how it's going to fit right now. I'm also debating on sleevless or if I should add little sleeves to it?

The next block for the Leisure Arts is progressing... not quite at the halfway point. I worked a bit on it last night at Stitch n Bitch.

I also worked on the Cable O's Vest. I haven't worked on it for a couple of days. I forgot how much I enjoy working on it. A few more inches to go on the back. I think I'll concentrate on it today.

While I was at Barnes and Noble, I went and browsed the knitting books and decided to pick up
Yarn Harlot's book. What a great little book. One of my favorite books from my teen years was Robert Asprin's Myth series. Every chapter starts with a quote (not "real" quotes, but funny little quotes that have to do with the chapter ahead). I like how quotes are used in At Knit's End. I'll probably spend some time today with it.

No pictures today, but some progress was achieved. The 10th block for the Leisure Arts Sampler Afghan has been started. Matt picked this one out. It's not one I had considered, but I really like the way it's looking. (One of the things I liked about the Leisure Arts is that it has 60 block patterns and I get to pick out 20 that I like). So it's still progressing. I should have it done just at the peak of summer. Just when I need a freakin' warm afghan, right?

Still plugging away on the Project Linus afghan, too. Actually, I'm working on 2. I keep them in different spots in the house so that when I'm in that area, I can work on the one that's there. I'm on the border for the older afghan and I have about 7" to go on the new one. Not bad.

I also pulled out the
Shapely Tank that I started back in mid-winter when I needed something summery to work on. I'm on the short row bust darts. I'll try to get the front finished today (we'll see... according to the directions, I need a lot of short rows) and I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow. (oh, and you can blame Carissa for me pulling this out to work on... I had actually forgotten that I had started it, but she's started one so I was reminded how much I like the pattern).

Well, that's about it for today. Stitch n Bitch tonight so I have to decide what to take to work on...

I'm on a roll...
Six-Stitch Cable
Candleflame Tree
Little Shell Pattern
So I've done 9 squares for the Leisure Arts Sampler. These blocks are much simpler to do than the blocks from the Taste of Aran Afghan, but they aren't as well designed. One of the things I loved about the TOA afghan is that all the blocks had the same stitch/row count so they were easy to put together. This one I have to crochet a border around each block to make it the same size. That's a royal pain, especially for the heavily cabled blocks like the Six-Stitch Cable. However, sewing the blocks together will be fairly simple (tho' I'm not sure if I'm going to crochet them or whip stitch them together).

I'm better than halfway on the new
Project Linus blanket. However, it's now large enough that it's quite warm on my lap. We're having some fairly pleasant weather right now, so I can only work on it in the mornings when it's still nice and cool. It's been a fast crochet... now if I could only find someone to weave the ends in for me....
